Wayne Snearly has been in the automotive repair business for 30 years.  He was a Dodge Line Technician for 13 years before opening Snearly Auto Repair in his hometown of Bethany, Illinois.  Wayne also taught automotive technology to high school students at the Heartland Technical Academy in Decatur, Illinois until May 2014 when he resigned in order to spend more time at his businesses.

In the fall of 2013, Wayne, along with his wife Jill, purchased Sloan's Racing Transmissions.  He builds Drag Racing Powerglide transmissions suitable for any drag racing car from basic bracket classes to high-horse-power drag racing cars.   Wayne is a second generation drag racer.  His last car was a 1932 Austin Bantam which he raced in Nostalgia Drag Racing Classes.  His daughter, Lauren Moore also raced for several years, starting out in a junior dragster.  Most recently, she drove an injected front motored dragster.

In January, 2017 we relocated our business 12 miles away just outside of Findlay, Illinois.  It was a move that gave use more space as we were outgrowing our previous location.  You will now find us at 2211 State Highway 128, Findlay, IL 62534.  Our phone number has not changed.

In addition to drag racing applications, we are also building Powerglide Transmissions for Circle Track Applications.

Wayne has always taken good care of his customers and stands behind his work.  Give us a call today.  We are a small family business, and when you call you can talk directly to Wayne about your transmission needs.
